Benjamin Scheuer (Composer/Co-lyricist) makes his London theatre debut with Jihad! The Musical. His new opera, The Nightingale and the Rose, was presented at I-Beam Brooklyn in 2009, and will be included in the Metropolis Opera Project new composer series in New York (spring 2010). Scheuer performs with his rock groups Escapist Papers and Lady Clown, with whom he has released two full-length albums. His original compositions for dance and film have been presented at Yale, Harvard, Columbia and New York University. Scheuer studied at Harvard and the BMI Musical Theater Writing Workshop.
